BE200 Ground School!

Ok here we go, again! Almost 2 years after finishing my last formal flight training, I am back at it again. This time I’ll be doing a full week of King Air 200 ground school with North Cariboo Air (NCA) in Calgary. The week will focus on BE200 systems and procedures as well as NCA standard operating procedures and indoctrination.

Having been given access to the pre-training materials on the company learning management system, I have already logged many hours in preparation and it has been great to get my head back in the learning space.

As I am paying for the training out of my own pockets, I have reconnected with extended family in Calgary to arrange some cheap accommodations. It should be a great opportunity to immerse myself in the training and give it everything I have.

The highlight of the adventure will definitely be reconnecting with my buddy Clay, who will be flying into YYC a couple days before my training starts. Clay now flies the ERJ 175 for SkyWest airlines out of San Francisco. Clay and I made many memories during my flight training days in Arizona including our engine failure that fateful evening on approach into Casa Grande airport.
